In Echo Heights, a neighborhood in Fort Worth, a group of Texas-based environmental advocates have joined a class action lawsuit against the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). They say that the billions of dollars cut from grants designated to help improve air quality have put vulnerable communities at risk.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n

2.\u00a0FEMA chief rejects criticism, calls Texas floods response ‘a model’ for dealing with disaster<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n

The acting administrator of the Federal Emergency Management Agency is pushing back on criticisms of the federal response to the Central Texas floods that\u00a0killed at least 136 people earlier this month<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI can’t see anything we did wrong,\u201d\u00a0David Richardson<\/a>\u00a0told a House panel of the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure on Wednesday. He called the relationship between state and federal agencies \u201ca model for how disasters should be handled.\u201d<\/p>\n

3.\u00a0Trump offers support to Musk’s car company in a surprising post as Tesla stock plunges<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n

President Donald Trump took to social media Thursday morning to support Elon Musk\u2019s car company, a startling development given their bitter public feud.<\/p>\n

The post wasn\u2019t enough to help Tesla\u2019s stock, which fell sharply after the company reported another quarter of\u00a0lackluster financial results<\/a>\u00a0and Musk warned of some potentially \u201crough quarters\u201d into next year. In afternoon trading, the stock was down almost 9%.<\/p>\n
