Earlier this month, Tame Impala<\/a> mastermind Kevin Parker<\/a> shared a series of studio photos on Instagram<\/a> with the caption \u201cBeen busy\ud83d\ude09.\u201d Naturally, speculation grew that new Tame Impala music was imminent. Now, Parker has released the first new Tame Impala song in years. The seven-minute \u201cEnd of Summer<\/a>\u201d serves as Tame Impala\u2019s Columbia Records<\/a> debut, and it comes with a music video directed by Julian Klincewicz<\/a>. \u201cEnd of Summer\u201d is the first unaccompanied Tame Impala song since 2023\u2019s \u201cJourney to the Real World<\/a>,\u201d which Parker made for Barbie<\/a>. In fact, a lot of Tame Impala\u2019s recent music has been made for movies. There was \u201cWings of Time<\/a>,\u201d for the film Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves; Parker\u2019s remix of \u201cEdge of Reality<\/a>,\u201d for Elvis<\/a>; and \u201cTurn Up the Sunshine<\/a>,\u201d a Diana Ross collaboration for Minions: The Rise of Gru<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cTurn Up the Sunshine\u201d is just one of a handful of collaboration that Parker has made since 2020\u2019s The Slow Rush<\/a>. He did \u201cNo More Lies<\/a>\u201d with Thundercat, \u201cOne Night\/All Night<\/a>\u201d and \u201cNeverender<\/a>\u201d with Justice, \u201cNew Gold<\/a>\u201d with Gorillaz, and \u201cCall My Phone Thinking I\u2019m Doing Nothing Better<\/a>\u201d with the Streets. Parker has also made official remixes for 070 Shake<\/a>, the Crowded House<\/a>, and Justice<\/a>. As a producer and songwriter, he worked heavily on Dua Lipa\u2019s Radical Optimism<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Earlier this year, Parker won<\/a> his first-ever Grammy Award<\/a>. He and Justice took home Best Dance\/Electronic Recording<\/a> for \u201cNeverender.\u201d<\/p>\n
