Sheikh Hamdan launched the &#8216;Dubai Mallathon&#8217; on Thursday, July 24, which transforms malls into sports pathways. <\/p>\n<p>A part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.khaleejtimes.com\/leadership\/dubais-d33-vision-building-the-best-city-to-visit-live-and-work\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Dubai Social Agenda&#8217;s 33 targets<\/a>, the initiative has been introduced for the month of August, where residents can hit the mall from 7am to 10am daily. <\/p>\n<p>Fully equipped pathways for walking and running will be allocated for residents across seven major commercial centers \u2014 Dubai Mall, Dubai Hills Mall, City Centre Deira, City Centre Mirdif, Mall of the Emirates, Dubai Marina Mall, and The Springs Souk.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.whatsapp.com\/channel\/0029Va5dROu3bbUxk7Jh2503\" rel=\"sponsored noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Stay up to date with the latest news. Follow KT on WhatsApp Channels.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, urged everyone to &#8220;adopt a healthy and active lifestyle with ease and safety during the morning period throughout the month of August&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>This targets people from all walks of life, including the youth, senior citizens, residents, children, and shopping mall employees.<\/p>\n<p>Designed to foster an active lifestyle in a supportive setting, the initiative incorporates\u00a0motivational tools\u00a0such as fitness-tracking systems, health awareness stations, dedicated children\u2019s areas, and guided stretching exercises. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Today, we launched the \u2018Dubai Mallathon\u2019 \u2014 an initiative that transforms shopping malls across the city into indoor fitness tracks, encouraging the Dubai community to stay active comfortably and safely during morning hours throughout August.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;As a new community initiative launched from Dubai\u2019s malls, it\u2019s a simple idea with a powerful goal: bringing healthy, active living into familiar everyday spaces,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Today, we launched the \u00e2\u0080\u0098Dubai Mallathon\u00e2\u0080\u0099 \u00e2\u0080\u0093 an initiative that transforms shopping malls across the city into indoor fitness tracks, encouraging the Dubai community to stay active comfortably and safely during morning hours throughout August.
