Police were called after the residents of one home were <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ktsa.com\/sapd-2-children-shot-when-gunfire-hits-home-on-east-side\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">awakened by gunfire<\/a>. They soon would learn two girls, ages 6 and 10, had been hit while sleeping in a room. Both were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.<\/p>\n<p>Investigators say bullet holes were found in the home, and also in a fence in the backyard.<\/p>\n<p>There is no word on a motive for the shooting, and it is unclear if additional suspects are on police radar.<\/p>\n<p>More about:<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Close up of metal handcuffs.
