{"id":909232,"date":"2026-07-03T06:28:11","date_gmt":"2026-07-03T06:28:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/909232\/"},"modified":"2026-07-03T06:28:11","modified_gmt":"2026-07-03T06:28:11","slug":"reader-fears-maricopa-county-recorder-is-trying-to-help-trump-control-voters","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/909232\/","title":{"rendered":"Reader fears Maricopa County recorder is trying to help Trump control voters"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>OPINION \u2014 Three major election issues are being fought between the Republican Maricopa County Board of Supervisors and the Republican County Recorder.<\/p>\n<p>Recorder Justin Heap appears to be trying to change voting in Maricopa County by seeking the authority to control ballot drop-off locations, IT systems and his employees removed a ballot scanner from the Maricopa County Tabulation and Election Center in Phoenix during the vote counting for the Tempe jurisdictional elections.<\/p>\n<p>The Board of Supervisors is not willing to go along with Heap\u2019s power grab. Heap asked the Supreme Court to review the case and rule on it.
