Houston Dynamo’s General Manager and President of Soccer was Canada’s goalkeeper for 22 years. <\/p>\n

HOUSTON<\/strong> \u2013 The FIFA World Cup 2026 has already given us so many heart-warming moments and heart-stopping games that we\u2019ll need months to review and comprehend fully. For Houston Dynamo President of Soccer and General Manager Pat Onstad, this week has been a full-circle reunion with the Canadian men\u2019s soccer national team practicing at the Dynamo\u2019s facility ahead of their Round of 16 game against Morocco.<\/p>\n

Onstad, a Vancouver, British Columbia native, was Canada\u2019s goalkeeper for 22 years and couldn\u2019t be happier to see them playing in his home away from home. His prediction for the game is Canada wins 2-1. <\/p>\n

Onstad hopes the 2026 Canadian team will inspire generations of Canadian soccer players who someday can accomplish the dream, bringing a World Cup trophy home. <\/p>\n
