The GLP-1 drugs have become one of the hottest topics in Hollywood as several A-listers have revealed they are using the medications. The medications are said to increase feelings of fullness and reduce appetites.<\/p>\n<p>Lizzo and Amanda Bynes are among the latest stars to admit to using Ozempic for their weight loss journey. The prescription drug was originally intended to help treat type 2 diabetes, but captured mainstream attention for the off-label use of promoting weight loss.<\/p>\n<p>Lizzo<\/p>\n<p>Lizzo is an open book about her \u201cweight release journey,\u201d including how her secret to trimming down involved Ozempic, but it was also a diet change and excercise. She lost <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DFQZB-_vi-H\/?img_index=1\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DFQZB-_vi-H\/?img_index=1\" class=\"themeColorForLinks\" rel=\"noopener\">16 percent body fat<\/a> since starting her journey in January 2024.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I tried everything,&#8221; the \u2018Truth Hurts\u2019 singer revealed on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=DwDpqwcNWbQ&amp;t=911s\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=DwDpqwcNWbQ&amp;t=911s\" class=\"themeColorForLinks\" rel=\"noopener\">\u2018Just Trish\u2019 podcast <\/a>on June 19. &#8220;Ozempic works because you eat less food, yeah? So if you eat right, it makes you feel full. But if you can just do that on your own and get mind over matter, it&#8217;s the same item.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Meghan Trainor<\/p>\n<p>Meghan Trainer called out fans who were quick to point out her weight loss after she won the Hitmaker award at the recent Billboard Women in Music event in March 2025. The 31-year-old singer put an end to the speculation on how she slimmed down, saying on Instagram she\u2019s \u201cbeen on a journey to be the healthiest, strongest version of myself for my kids and for me.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve worked with a dietician, made huge lifestyle changes, started exercising with a trainer, and yes, I used science and support (shoutout to Mounjaro!) to help me after my 2nd pregnancy. And I\u2019m so glad I did because I feel great.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>James Corden<\/p>\n<p>During the Sept. 19 episode of his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.siriusxm.com\/player\/episode-audio\/entity\/6231d017-2cf1-f018-4b10-47baab02f0de\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"https:\/\/www.siriusxm.com\/player\/episode-audio\/entity\/6231d017-2cf1-f018-4b10-47baab02f0de\" class=\"themeColorForLinks\" rel=\"noopener\">\u2018This Life of Mine\u2019 podcast<\/a>, James Corden revealed the injection medication didn\u2019t deliver great results for him.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I tried Ozempic, and it won\u2019t be surprising to you when you look at me now, that it didn\u2019t really work,\u201d Corden said. \u201cI tried it for a bit, and then I realized I was like, \u2018Oh no, nothing about my eating has anything to do with being hungry.\u2019 All this does is make you feel not hungry.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Oprah Winfrey<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I eat my last meal at 4 o\u2019clock, drink a gallon of water a day, and use the WeightWatchers principles of counting points,\u201d Oprah Winfrey told <a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/oprah-winfrey-reveals-weight-loss-medication-exclusive-8414552\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"https:\/\/people.com\/oprah-winfrey-reveals-weight-loss-medication-exclusive-8414552\" class=\"themeColorForLinks\" rel=\"noopener\">People<\/a> in December 2023. I had an awareness of [weight-loss] medications, but felt I had to prove I had the willpower to do it. I now no longer feel that way.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I now use [an unnamed weight loss drug] as I feel I need it, as a tool to manage not yo-yoing. The fact that there&#8217;s a medically approved prescription for managing weight and staying healthier, in my lifetime, feels like relief, like redemption, like a gift, and not something to hide behind and once again be ridiculed for. I\u2019m absolutely done with the shaming from other people and particularly myself.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Kelly Clarkson<\/p>\n<p>At her heaviest, Kelly Clarkson says she was 203lbs standing at 5-ft.3-in. While discussing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=LRgF39vAgmY\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=LRgF39vAgmY\" class=\"themeColorForLinks\" rel=\"noopener\">Whoopi Goldberg\u2019s weight loss on an episode of \u2018The Kelly Clarkson Show\u2019,<\/a> the talk show host revealed she used a medication &#8212; but not Ozempic.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Mine is a different one than people assume, but I ended up having to do that too because my bloodwork got so bad,\u201d Clarkson admitted. &#8220;My doctor chased me for two years, and I was like, &#8216;No, I&#8217;m afraid of it. I already have thyroid problems. Everybody thinks it&#8217;s Ozempic, but it&#8217;s not. It&#8217;s something else.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Whoopi Goldberg<\/p>\n<p>Not only did Whoopi Goldberg get candid about dropping a couple of dress sizes on Kelly Clarkson\u2019s talk show, but she revealed exactly what she used on an episode of \u2018The View.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I will tell you, I weighed almost 300 lbs. when I made [2022 film] \u2018Till.\u2019 I had taken all those steroids, I was on all this stuff, and one of the things that\u2019s helped me drop the weight was the Mounjaro. She added she was &#8220;so skinny&#8221; but felt so ill that she couldn&#8217;t throw a ball with her son. She dished on all the details on Instagram, telling her followers exactly which weight loss drugs she used.<\/p>\n<p>Sharon Osbourne<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou can\u2019t stay on it forever. It just happened.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Fat Joe<\/p>\n<p>Rapper Fat Joe, 54,  says he eats healthier, \u201ccut carbs\u201d and uses Ozempic to maintain his 200-lb weight loss, according to<a href=\"https:\/\/www.usmagazine.com\/celebrity-body\/news\/fat-joe-says-he-tries-to-cut-carbs-uses-ozempic-for-weight-loss\/\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"https:\/\/www.usmagazine.com\/celebrity-body\/news\/fat-joe-says-he-tries-to-cut-carbs-uses-ozempic-for-weight-loss\/\" class=\"themeColorForLinks\" rel=\"noopener\"> US Weekly.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cOzempic says you may only have two pieces of your favorite stuff.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Chelsea Handler<\/p>\n<p>Chelsea Handler didn\u2019t realize she had been prescribed the weight-loss drug. During a January 2023 appearance on the &#8220;Call Her Daddy&#8221; podcast, Chelsea Handler said that her anti-aging doctor &#8220;just hands (Ozempic) out to anybody.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI didn\u2019t even know I was on it. She said, \u2018If you ever want to drop 5 pounds, this is good,\u2019\u201d Handler recalled.<\/p>\n<p>Handler went to lunch with a girlfriend who said she was \u201cnauseous\u201d due to being on Ozempic and the comedian said she felt queasy too but chalked it up to being jet-lagged after returning from a trip to Spain.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m an irresponsible drug user, but I\u2019m not gonna take a diabetic drug,&#8221; she said. &#8220;I tried it, and I\u2019m not going to do that. That\u2019s not for me.
