\t\t\t\tA number of Keller-area restaurants are participating in discount deals for the city\u2019s first restaurant week<\/a> July 28-Aug. 3.<\/p>\n

What you need to know<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ana Erwin, Keller\u2019s assistant director of economic development, said the event is part of the Keep it in Keller<\/a> initiative during a time when restaurants see less business than usual.<\/p>\n

\u201cHistorically, this is the slowest time of year for restaurants. This late July, early August time frame is where most restaurants nationwide see a dip [in customers,]\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

More than 20 Keller-area restaurants joined restaurant week to offer exclusive deals, featured items or fixed-price menus. All participating restaurants will donate a minimum of 5% of restaurant week proceeds to Community Storehouse<\/a> and the Humane Society of North Texas<\/a>.<\/p>\n

DFW Restaurant Week<\/a> officially kicks off Aug. 4-10, but many restaurants will have offers available starting July 31.<\/p>\n

There are more than 125 restaurants participating across the metroplex, including Keller Chophouse<\/a>, The Classic Cafe<\/a> in Roanoke and the Sicilian Butcher<\/a> in Fort Worth.<\/p>\n

Official participation dates and meal prices can be found on the DFW Restaurant week website.<\/p>\n

What else?<\/strong><\/p>\n

The city of Keller is also launching its new cashback program July 28 through the Open Rewards<\/a> app, according to the city\u2019s website. Customers at participating Keller restaurants can receive 10% cash back through the program from July 28-Aug. 3.<\/p>\n

From Aug. 4-Sept. 8, customers can earn 5% cash back at participating restaurants, retail stores and entertainment businesses.<\/p>\n
