{"id":911783,"date":"2026-07-04T10:31:19","date_gmt":"2026-07-04T10:31:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/911783\/"},"modified":"2026-07-04T10:31:19","modified_gmt":"2026-07-04T10:31:19","slug":"iphone-18-with-9gb-ram-still-wont-support-two-new-ios-27-features","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/911783\/","title":{"rendered":"iPhone 18 With 9GB RAM Still Won&#8217;t Support Two New iOS 27 Features"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The lower-end iPhone 18 and iPhone 18e will be equipped with 9GB of RAM, up from 8GB in the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17e, according to supply chain analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" fetchpriority=\"high\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/iphone-17-ceramic-shield.jpg\"   alt=\"iphone 17 ceramic shield\" width=\"1950\" height=\"1097\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1018134\"\/><br \/>In a <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/mingchikuo\/status\/2070545159620809003\" rel=\"nofollow\">social media post<\/a>, Kuo said the 1GB increase in RAM will ensure that Apple Intelligence features continue to run smoothly on the pair of devices.<\/p>\n<p>The higher-end iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and foldable &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.macrumors.com\/2026\/04\/27\/apple-planning-to-launch-two-new-ultra-products\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">iPhone Ultra<\/a>&#8221; will each have the same 12GB of RAM as the iPhone 17 Pro models, added Kuo.<\/p>\n<p>Apple is expected to release the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and the iPhone Ultra in September this year, while the iPhone 18, iPhone 18e, and a second-generation iPhone Air will reportedly be released <a href=\"https:\/\/www.macrumors.com\/2026\/04\/08\/iphone-air-2-and-iphone-18e-early-next-year\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">around March 2027<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Even with an increased 9GB of RAM, two new Apple Intelligence features coming with iOS 27 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.macrumors.com\/2026\/06\/10\/two-ios-27-features-iphone-17-pro-air-only\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">will not be available on the iPhone 18 and iPhone 18e<\/a>, including the ability to customize the expressiveness and pace of Siri&#8217;s voice and a &#8220;major boost in accuracy&#8221; for speech-to-text dictation.
