NYPD officers were hunting for a woman dressed in red, white and blue who allegedly stabbed her mother to death in Queens on Saturday, cops said.<\/p>\n
The 30-year-old suspect allegedly cut her 59-year-old mom, identified as Ausha Ramlakhan, in the neck and shoulder with a sharp object around 3:30 p.m. in South Ozone Park, Queens, according to police. <\/p>\n
Another family member discovered the bloodied victim at the home on 128th Street near Liberty Avenue and called 911, police said. <\/p>\n

Responding emergency workers pronounced the victim dead at the scene.<\/p>\n
The suspect fled on foot and was last seen wearing blue yoga pants, a red tank top and white sneakers, police said. <\/p>\n
Detectives gathered in front of the home later \u2014 carrying an evidence bag and taking photos, video shows.<\/p>\n
A motive for the killing wasn\u2019t immediately known, cops said. <\/p>\n
The 106th Precinct has seen a 7% increase in major crimes so far this year to 782 from 730 at the same point last year, according to NYPD data.<\/p>\n

The killing appeared to be the precinct\u2019s first homicide so far this year, the data show. There was one at the same point last year.<\/p>\n
Felony assault has increased by 18% so far this year to 206 from 175, robbery is up by about 17% to 101 from 86 and grand larceny by 16% from 247 to 286, the precinct data show.<\/p>\n
