In the image, Cunningham is pointing forward, referencing a June 22 game when she pointed dramatically at Phoenix Mercury player DeWanna Bonner after a physical altercation with Cunningham\u2019s teammate Caitlin Clark.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">In the image, the Black players are wearing floaties while none of the white players are.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">\u201cIYKYK A little humor for the day,\u201d Bean wrote in the post on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/cherylbeantx\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"elm:link;elmt:article_link;slk:Cheryl Bean for Texas;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" data-yga=\"{&quot;yLinkElement&quot;:&quot;context_link&quot;,&quot;yModuleName&quot;:&quot;content-canvas&quot;,&quot;yLinkText&quot;:&quot;Cheryl Bean for Texas&quot;}\" class=\"link \">Cheryl Bean for Texas<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Bean is running for House District 94 in the Nov. 3 election. The district covers central Arlington, northeast Fort Worth, Hurst and parts of Bedford. The seat is held by Republican Tony Tinderholt, who announced his retirement in June 2025 and is now a candidate for Tarrant County commissioner. Because from my angle I can see who doesn\u2019t have them on,\u201d one person wrote.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Others laughed at the detail.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">\u201cNot the black girls with floaties on\u201d another person wrote with a laughing and cemetery emoji.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">\u201cOkay Sophie looks fantastic but I noticed only the black women are wearing floaties. I think this made me laugh even more,\u201d another wrote.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">\u201cWhy all the black ladies got water wings?\u201d said another.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">By about 11:30 a.m. Thursday, the post was deleted.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Bean did not respond to a message seeking comment. The Tarrant County GOP also did not respond to a request for comment.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">In a message to parents Superintendent Anika Perkins said the district and board members were made aware of Bean\u2019s post, according to an email a parent shared with the Star-Telegram.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The message included the following statement attributed to Bean: \u201cThe post of the basketball team crossing the Delaware river has been removed. The original intent was to show female athletes standing strong against unsportsmanlike conduct in a humorous way \u2026 nothing more. My team and I did not see the floaties in the picture and would never have posted it if we had. I believe racism in any form has no place in our society and regret our unintentional oversight.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Bean faces Democrat Katie O\u2019Brien Duzan in November.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">\u201cTexans are struggling to pay their bills, and Cheryl Bean is posting racist jokes,\u201d Duzan said in an email to the Star-Telegram. \u201cThis post, like most of what Cheryl Bean says, shows that she\u2019s unfit to be trusted or tackle the problems facing our district. HD-94 deserves a representative who will fight for ALL people regardless of their race or their politics. We don\u2019t need any more extremists near the Texas Legislature.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">In a text message, Tarrant County Democratic Party Chair Allison Campolo said it is &#8220;lazy and disrespectful\u201d for Bean to use AI-generated images for her campaign. She said the AI model shows her biases toward people who do not look like her.
