{"id":917144,"date":"2026-07-06T21:29:15","date_gmt":"2026-07-06T21:29:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/917144\/"},"modified":"2026-07-06T21:29:15","modified_gmt":"2026-07-06T21:29:15","slug":"preview-harris-county-commissioners-to-address-new-district-courts-infrastructure-committee-spring-klein","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/917144\/","title":{"rendered":"PREVIEW: Harris County commissioners to address new district courts, infrastructure committee | Spring &#8211; Klein"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Harris County commissioners are seeking to appoint Harris County Toll Road Authority Executive Director Robert Trevino to lead a new countywide infrastructure committee aimed at moving county projects forward July 9, as the county also prepares to bring five new civil district courts online.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The breakdown<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/agenda.harriscountytx.gov\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">meeting documents<\/a>, Harris County commissioners will finally review the creation of a countywide infrastructure committee to keep track and create standardized reports for multiple infrastructure initiatives that have been operating under their own committees, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Downtown Master Plan<\/li>\n<li>Vision Zero workgroup<\/li>\n<li>Transportation Master Plan<\/li>\n<li>Hardy Connector committee<\/li>\n<li>2018 Flood Bond workgroup<\/li>\n<li>Subdivision Drainage workgroup<\/li>\n<li>Infrastructure Goal Area Committee<\/li>\n<li>Harris County Community Flood Resilience Task Force<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The committee would be led by a chief infrastructure officer who would provide day-to-day oversight of county projects and be able to authorize certain work to move forward, as<a href=\"https:\/\/communityimpact.com\/spring-klein\/government\/harris-county-commissioners-debate-new-countywide-infrastructure-committee\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"> previously reported by Community Impact.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Commissioners previously requested that County Administrator Erica Lee Carter bring additional information on how the committee would take actual actions on moving countywide projects forward June 11. Precinct 1 Commissioner Rodney Ellis and Precinct 2 Commissioner Adrian Garcia both requested that Carter meet with departments such as county engineering and purchasing to also get buy-in from county employees who work closely with such projects.
