Inde Navarrette<\/a> is meeting with major directors and considering her next moves. <\/p>\n

The Obsession<\/a> star has enjoyed a meteoric rise in awareness<\/a> and acclaim since the release of Curry Barker\u2019s horror hit, which has now crossed $400 million globally at the box office.<\/p>\n

In a new interview with Nylon<\/a>, the 25-year-old was asked if she would do a Marvel<\/a> movie. \u201cI would,\u201d she replied. <\/p>\n

Speaking of which, Navarrette has reportedly met with Thunderbolts helmer Jake Schreier, who is directing Marvel\u2019s upcoming X-Men reboot. <\/p>\n

Navarrette has also reportedly met with Michael Mann, who is currently casting Heat 2 \u2014 the sequel to his iconic 1995 crime thriller. <\/p>\n

Navarrette listed Schreier and Mann among directors she would like to work with along with Sinners director Ryan Coogler and Barbie helmer Greta Gerwig. <\/p>\n

That said, her next project is already set \u2014 Invertigo, which has filmed, from director Matthias Hoene. Invertigo is about \u201ca group of reckless teens who convince a young park worker to sneak them onto a rollercoaster before its official opening. However, a system failure traps them hundreds of feet in the air, forcing them to fight for survival as buried traumas and hidden tensions erupt into chaos.\u201d<\/p>\n

As for Obsession 2, which Barker has told The Hollywood Reporter<\/a> he already has \u201ca really cool idea\u201d for, she said, \u201cI think the beautiful thing about it is that there is no sequel. I think it\u2019d be cool if Curry did the anthology series that he was talking about, where each is a different wish.\u201d <\/p>\n

Navarrette previously told THR<\/a> that she \u201cabsolutely would\u201d be up for an Obsession sequel but \u201clove[s] the idea\u201d of the story being left at a single film.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s like a memory, whenever you look back to yourself at like 24, 23, 22 those are all chunks, and they begin and end at a certain point. I think that\u2019s kind of like this story,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

In any case, Navarrette is apparently just fine with all the overwhelming attention and running around, noting, \u201cI don\u2019t care how much I\u2019m not sleeping, because I don\u2019t know if I\u2019ll get this opportunity again \u2026 I really want to prove that\u00a0Obsession\u00a0wasn\u2019t just lightning in a bottle.\u201d <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Inde Navarrette is meeting with major directors and considering her next moves.
