JOHNS COUNTY, Fla.<\/strong> \u2013 Five people \u2014 including two sitting St. Johns County commissioners and a former St. Augustine Beach mayor \u2014 have been charged in connection with an alleged fake Republican voter guide distributed during the 2024 primary election, according to charging documents filed Monday in the 7th Judicial Circuit Court.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Box-_wrDxHtU__Box-sc-10sa3ie-0 Text-nO2aZ44r__TextBase-sc-s2hv5x-0 jJNfBD fSvavs article-text\">The five defendants are Brianna Jordan, a former campaign manager; Sarah Arnold, commissioner for District 2; Dylan Rumrell, St. Augustine Beach commissioner and previously served as mayor; and Christian Whitehurst, county commissioner for District 1; and Jamie Johnson. Arrest warrants were received by the St. Johns County Sheriff\u2019s Office on July 6.<\/p>\n<p>What they\u2019re accused of doing<\/p>\n<p class=\"Box-_wrDxHtU__Box-sc-10sa3ie-0 Text-nO2aZ44r__TextBase-sc-s2hv5x-0 jJNfBD fSvavs article-text\">Prosecutors allege that between Aug. 1 and Aug. 15, 2024, the five defendants worked together to produce and distribute a voter guide that falsely presented itself as an official publication of the St. Johns County Republican Executive Committee \u2014 also known as the St. Johns GOP Republican Party.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Box-_wrDxHtU__Box-sc-10sa3ie-0 Text-nO2aZ44r__TextBase-sc-s2hv5x-0 jJNfBD fSvavs article-text\">According to the charging documents, the guide lacked written authorization from the SJREC and failed to include legally required disclosures, in violation of Florida Statute 106.1436.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Box-_wrDxHtU__Box-sc-10sa3ie-0 Text-nO2aZ44r__TextBase-sc-s2hv5x-0 jJNfBD fSvavs article-text\">All five defendants face charges of:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"Box-_wrDxHtU__Box-sc-10sa3ie-0 etvbxt font_openSans articleList\">\n<li class=\"Box-_wrDxHtU__Box-sc-10sa3ie-0 Stack-vJ7SwH7U__StackBase-sc-1m5bkhd-0 evEXvX dsnUCb\">\n<p>Conspiracy (misdemeanor)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"Box-_wrDxHtU__Box-sc-10sa3ie-0 Stack-vJ7SwH7U__StackBase-sc-1m5bkhd-0 evEXvX dsnUCb\">\n<p>Unauthorized voter guide (misdemeanor)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Additional felony charge for Jordan<\/p>\n<p class=\"Box-_wrDxHtU__Box-sc-10sa3ie-0 Text-nO2aZ44r__TextBase-sc-s2hv5x-0 jJNfBD fSvavs article-text\">Jordan faces a third count \u2014 tampering with physical evidence, a third-degree felony.
