{"id":917993,"date":"2026-07-07T06:11:20","date_gmt":"2026-07-07T06:11:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/917993\/"},"modified":"2026-07-07T06:11:20","modified_gmt":"2026-07-07T06:11:20","slug":"mother-who-said-her-twins-died-after-vaccinations-charged-with-murder","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/917993\/","title":{"rendered":"Mother who said her twins died after vaccinations charged with murder"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>An Idaho woman who said her toddler twins died last year after being vaccinated faces murder charges connected to their deaths, authorities said.<\/p>\n<p>A grand jury indicted Andrea Shaw, who is accused of suffocating her 18-month-old twins in May 2025, on two counts of first-degree murder on June 29, according to court records and a statement from the Payette Police Department.<\/p>\n<p>While appearing last year on an internet show produced by <a class=\"Link AnClick-LinkEnhancement\" data-gtm-enhancement-style=\"LinkEnhancementA\" href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/coronavirus-pandemic-business-health-pandemics-race-and-ethnicity-d140be878b1ef0c5a5cce3cfde71e69c\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Children\u2019s Health Defense<\/a> \u2014 an anti-vaccine group founded by Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. \u2014 Shaw said her twins died after getting vaccinated. Kennedy has not been affiliated with the group since December 2024, when he formally resigned as chairman to join President Donald Trump\u2019s administration.<\/p>\n<p>Shaw, 23, was arrested by Boise police officers Tuesday and arraigned Thursday. She is being held on a $2 million bond and could face life in prison or the death penalty if convicted or if she pleads guilty to first-degree murder. Her next court appearance is July 14.<\/p>\n<p>Joe Filicetti, an attorney representing Shaw, wrote in a text message that she \u201cdenies anything and everything\u201d and that the state \u201ccannot prove\u201d the criminal charges.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe will defend her with wholeheartedness,\u201d Filicetti added.<\/p>\n<p>The Payette Police Department and the Payette County prosecutor\u2019s office declined to comment Monday.<\/p>\n<p>During her May 2025 appearance on the Children\u2019s Health Defense show, Shaw said she found her twins dead in their room days after they got vaccinated for the flu and other diseases.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey had got their shots at the same time by two nurses at the same time,\u201d Shaw said. \u201cAnd they got sick.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Medical experts point out that the childhood vaccines at issue \u2014 hepatitis A, influenza and DTaP \u2014 are safe and effective for kids and recommended by various medical groups.<\/p>\n<p>Shaw is also a plaintiff in a federal lawsuit brought by Children\u2019s Health Defense and others against the American Academy of Pediatrics. The lawsuit, which was filed in January in federal court in Washington, accuses the American Academy of Pediatrics of racketeering for its \u201ccentral role in an enterprise that has defrauded American families about the safety of the childhood vaccine schedule for several decades.\u201d In the lawsuit, Shaw is described as a mother \u201cwhose children died following routine vaccinations administered according to AAP guidelines.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The American Academy of Pediatrics has asked the court to dismiss the suit, asserting in an April court filing that it is the \u201clatest missive in a campaign targeting\u201d the academy and its \u201cuse of science-backed evidence in vaccine policy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>    <a class=\"AnchorLink\" id=\"html-embed-module-a00000\"\/><\/p>\n<p>\n    <strong>Sign up for Morning Wire:<\/strong><br \/>\n    Our flagship newsletter breaks down the biggest headlines of the day.\n  <\/p>\n<p>In January, pediatricians and other experts <a class=\"Link AnClick-LinkEnhancement\" data-gtm-enhancement-style=\"LinkEnhancementA\" href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/vaccines-rfk-shared-decision-making-pediatrician-70cf2dad36ca9934e033edd71025ea63\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">became alarmed<\/a> when U.S. health officials made broad changes to childhood vaccine guidance, dropping several universal recommendations. Kennedy, who helped lead the anti-vaccine movement for years, said the changes better align the U.S. with peer nations \u201cwhile strengthening transparency and informed consent.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>In March, a federal judge blocked the changes and said Kennedy likely violated federal procedures in revamping a key vaccine advisory committee.
