\n\tJulia Garner<\/a> is attached to star in an Apple TV<\/a> adaptation of the Mikita Brottman true crime book \u201cGuilty Creatures: Sex, God, and Murder in Tallahassee, Florida,\u201d Variety has learned. <\/p>\n

\n\tThe logline for the series states that it \u201cdelves into the psyche of a torrid romance and subsequent act of murder between two young, adulterous but God-fearing lovers, unraveling their complex lives and the emotional toll of living as killers for 18 years.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tTomorrow Studios, an ITV Studios partner, developed the project and brought it to Apple. Craig Gillespie<\/a> is attached to direct and executive produce under his Fortunate Jack Productions banner. Sarah DeLappe (\u201cBodies Bodies Bodies,\u201d \u201cThe Regime\u201d) will write and executive produce. Stuart Zicherman will serve as showrunner and executive producer. Garner will executive produce through Alma Margo in addition to starring. Marty Adelstein, Becky Clements and Alissa Bachner will executive produce for Tomorrow Studios along with Annie Marter of Fortunate Jack and Brottman. Both Fortunate Jack and Alma Margo are under first-look deals with Tomorrow Studios.<\/p>\n

\n\tGarner is best known for her role as Ruth Langmore in the hit Netflix series \u201cOzark,\u201d for which she won three Emmy Awards and a Golden Globe. She also received an Emmy nod for the Netflix limited series \u201cInventing Anna,\u201d playing convicted fraudster Anna Delvey. Next up, she will star as Caroline Ellison<\/a> in the Netflix limited series \u201cThe Altruists,\u201d which charts the rise and fall of FTX. Garner\u2019s other TV credits include \u201cThe Get Down\u201d and \u201cManiac,\u201d as well as shows like \u201cThe Americans\u201d and \u201cDirty John.\u201d In film, Garner recently played The Silver Surfer in \u201cThe Fantastic Four: First Steps\u201d for Marvel and starred in the hit horror film \u201cWeapons\u201d from Zach Cregger.<\/p>\n

\n\tGillespie most recently directed the DC film \u201cSupergirl.\u201d He is also known for his work directing features like \u201cI, Tonya,\u201d \u201cCruella,\u201d \u201cDumb Money,\u201d and \u201cLars and the Real Girl.\u201d In TV, he has helmed episodes of shows including Apple\u2019s \u201cYour Friends and Neighbors\u201d and \u201cPhysical,\u201d as well as \u201cUnited States of Tara\u201d and \u201cPam & Tommy,\u201d the latter of which earned him an Emmy nomination. He and Marter founded Fortunate Jack in 2024. <\/p>\n

\n\tZicherman recently developed the first season of the FX series \u201cAmerican Sports Story.\u201d He also worked on the Apple TV show \u201cThe Shrink Next Door\u201d and has written for shows like \u201cThe Americans,\u201d \u201cSweetbitter,\u201d and \u201cThe Affair.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tGarner is repped by UTA, LBI Entertainment, and Sloane Offer. Gillespie and Fortunate Jack Productions are repped by CAA and Sloane Offer. Marter is repped by attorney Jared Bloch.
