CHICAGO (WLS) — Funnel clouds have been reported and there is Flash Flood Warning for parts of the Chicago area Friday.<\/p>\n
The Flash Flood Warning <\/strong>is for DuPage and Cook counties until 2:45 p.m.<\/p>\n The Chicago, IL weather forecast Friday includes a Flash Flood Warning, and funnel clouds have been reported near Ottawa.<\/p>\n ABC7 Chicago is now streaming 24\/7. Click here to watch<\/a><\/p>\n There is very heavy rain in narrow lines in the area Friday.<\/p>\n The weather continues to be humid; although, temperatures have dropped, ABC7 Chicago meteorologist Tracy Butler said.<\/p>\n That means showers and heavy downpours and storms are possible anywhere at any time.<\/p>\n The National Weather Service issued a special weather statement for funnel clouds from LaSalle County through southern Cook County and south of that line.<\/p>\n Funnel clouds rarely touch the ground and typically do not pose a hazard, Butler said.<\/p>\n Some were spotted earlier Friday near Ottawa.<\/p>\n There are ground stops at both Midway and O’Hare airports Friday afternoon due to thunderstorms.<\/p>\n Midway has delays of over 30 minutes.<\/p>\n There has been severe weather throughout the week.<\/p>\n Trees and power lines were knocked down Thursday<\/a> by strong winds.<\/p>\n Cook County Radar<\/a> | DuPage County Radar<\/a> | Will County Radar<\/a> | Lake County Radar (IL)<\/a> | Kane County Radar<\/a> | Northwest Indiana Radar<\/a> Copyright \u00a9 2025 WLS-TV.
