Bronny James carries the weight of his name everywhere he goes.<\/p>\n

He might carry it into a familiar spot for his father LeBron this weekend.<\/p>\n

The Lakers’ second-year guard is rumored as a participant in this weekend’s Drew League action.<\/p>\n

“I\u2019ve heard Bronny [James], but nothing clear on that yet,” Drew League commissioner Dino Smiley told reporter Mark Medina<\/a>. “I heard Bronny might play. But nothing concrete. Earlier in the summer, there was talk about Dalton Knecht and Cam Christie playing.\u201d<\/p>\n

The pro-am league based in Los Angeles has had a number of stars through the years, including Kobe Bryant, Kevin Durant and yes, LeBron.<\/p>\n

James first showed up to the Drew League in 2011. He returned over a decade later to score 42 points and grab 16 rebounds<\/a> in a highly anticipated game.<\/p>\n

\u201c<\/strong>I think it would great (if Bronny comes),” Smiley said. “It would be interesting to see how he matches up with these guys. It would be interesting to see. Since his dad played a couple of times down here, who knows, maybe he\u2019ll pop up there with him this weekend.”<\/p>\n

If father and son both pulled up, that gym would erupt from the hype.<\/p>\n

Even if it’s just Bronny, it would put all sorts of basketball eyes on the Drew League for the weekend.<\/p>\n
