(WDBJ) &#8211; The Town of Pulaski has issued a drought warning and has implemented voluntary water use restrictions, according to the Town\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/townofpulaski\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/townofpulaski\">official Facebook Page<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"figure-img img-fluid mx-auto d-block\" alt=\"The Town says lack of rainfall and current drought conditions are the reason for invoking the...\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/ZN5RUX5ETZACPI46POQ3EUJ25Y.jpg\" width=\"980\" height=\"1267\" \/>The Town says lack of rainfall and current drought conditions are the reason for invoking the warning.(Town of Pulaski)<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">In a public notice issued Wednesday, the town cited lack of rainfall and current drought conditions. It also said water levels at Gatewood Reservoir reached a point where it\u2019s requiring the implementation of Voluntary Water Use Restrictions.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cAt this time, the Town is asking all water customers to voluntarily reduce non-essential water use to help conserve our water supply until conditions improve,\u201d the town reported.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Pulaski is asking its residents to avoid using water resources for such activities as:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"list | article-list\">\n<li>Watering lawns and ornamental landscaping.<\/li>\n<li>Washing vehicles at home.<\/li>\n<li>Washing sidewalks, driveways, or other paved surfaces.<\/li>\n<li>Filling or refilling swimming pools<\/li>\n<li>Any other kinds of outdoor water use that are not necessary for health or public safety.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cThese voluntary conservation efforts will help preserve our water resources and ensure an adequate water supply for essential residential, commercial, and public safety needs,\u201d the town said in the public notice.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Reservoir levels and weather patterns will continue to be monitored by officials as updates will be ongoing as conditions change, according to the Town.<\/p>\n<p>Copyright 2026 WDBJ.
