{"id":92248,"date":"2025-07-25T20:10:10","date_gmt":"2025-07-25T20:10:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/92248\/"},"modified":"2025-07-25T20:10:10","modified_gmt":"2025-07-25T20:10:10","slug":"at-comic-con-south-park-co-creator-jokes-hes-terribly-sorry-over-premiere-that-drew-white-house-anger-nbc-7-san-diego","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/92248\/","title":{"rendered":"At Comic-Con, \u2018South Park\u2019 co-creator jokes he\u2019s \u2018terribly sorry\u2019 over premiere that drew White House anger \u2013 NBC 7 San Diego"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\u201cSouth Park\u201d co-creator Trey Parker had the briefest of responses Thursday to anger from the White House over the season premiere of the animated institution, which showed a naked President Donald Trump in bed with Satan.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re terribly sorry,\u201d Parker said, followed by a long, deadpan-comic stare.<\/p>\n<p>Parker was asked for his reaction to the fracas as he sat on the stage at San Diego\u2019s Comic-Con International at the beginning of a Comedy Central animation panel that also included his \u201cSouth Park\u201d partner Matt Stone, \u201cBeavis and Butt-Head\u201d creator Mike Judge and actor Andy Samberg, who co-created the animated \u201cDigman!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Earlier in the day, the White House issued a statement on the 27th season premiere, which aired Wednesday night.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis show hasn\u2019t been relevant for over 20 years and is hanging on by a thread with uninspired ideas in a desperate attempt for attention,\u201d White House spokesperson Taylor Rogers said in the statement. \u201cPresident Trump has delivered on more promises in just six months than any other president in our country\u2019s history \u2013 and no fourth-rate show can derail President Trump\u2019s hot streak.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Later in the panel, Parker said they did get a note from their producers on Tuesday night\u2019s episode.<a\/><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey said, \u2018OK, but we\u2019re gonna blur the penis,\u2019 and I said, \u2018No, you\u2019re not gonna blur the penis,\u2019 \u201d Parker said.<\/p>\n<p>The premiere also took aim at Paramount and its $16 million recent settlement with Trump just hours after Parker and Stone signed a five-year deal with the company for 50 new episodes and streaming rights to previous seasons. The Los Angeles Times and other outlets report the deal was worth $1.5 billion.<\/p>\n<p>In the episode, Trump sues the town of South Park when its residents challenge the presence of Jesus Christ \u2013 the actual person \u2013 in its elementary school.<\/p>\n<p>Jesus tells them they ought to settle.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou guys saw what happened to CBS? Yeah, well, guess who owns CBS?
