Tame Impala and Jennie’s “Dracula” tops Billboard’s Pop Airplay chart, becoming only the third track by a K-pop artist to hit No. 1 on the competitive roster. Last fall, as Tame Impala was gearing up to release its fifth album, the musical act \u2013 which is a name used by multi-instrumentalist Kevin Parker \u2013 dropped the song “Dracula” as the project’s third single. The tune arrived less than a month before Deadbeat became available, and while another song titled “My Old Ways” has also been pushed as a single since then, the focus for months has been on “Dracula.” <\/p>\n
Weeks after the tune became a hit, Tame Impala recruited Blackpink star Jennie<\/a> to join a remix, and that version has become one of 2026’s biggest successes. Months into its time on a number of Billboard charts, “Dracula” climbs to the summit on one list it had yet to dominate, and as it does, it becomes a historic win for one of the two artists.<\/p>\n Jennie Makes History as “Dracula” Flies to No. 1<\/p>\n “Dracula”<\/a> dances from No. 3 to No. 1 on the current edition of the Pop Airplay chart<\/a>. The top 40 ranking is one of three radio rosters compiled each week in America that focus on pop music, and it is the most competitive of the trio. “Dracula” becomes the first champion for both Tame Impala and Jennie.<\/p>\n Jennie Joins Ros\u00e9 and Huntr\/x<\/p>\n “Dracula” is also only the third No. 1 in the history of the Pop Airplay chart by any K-pop artist \u2013 that is, a musician typically associated with that genre. Jennie’s Blackpink bandmate Ros\u00e9 made history when her smash “Apt.,” a collaboration with Bruno Mars, soared to the peak position in the earliest days of 2025. “Apt.” would lead the tally for five frames, beginning in February.<\/p>\n Several months later, “Golden,” the biggest hit from Netflix’s KPop Demon Hunters, became just the second K-pop track to conquer the Pop Airplay rundown. That song is officially credited to the girl group that was created for the animated film, Huntr\/x, as well as vocalists Ejae, Audrey Nuna and Rei Ami.<\/p>\n Jennie and Tame Impala Charted Initial First Top 10s<\/p>\n Several months ago, “Dracula” became the first top 10 on the Pop Airplay chart for Jennie and Tame Impala. Jennie claims four solo smashes, and before “Dracula” arrived, “One of the Girls,” which also credits her The Idol co-stars the Weeknd and Lily-Rose Depp, stood as her highest-rising smash on her own when it hit No. 18 in April 2024. <\/p>\n Tame Impala, meanwhile, debuted on the Pop Airplay chart in April 2025, less than a year before “Dracula” launched. “Neverender,”<\/a> a team-up with electronic dance production group Justice \u2013 and the act\u2019s only other placement on the list \u2013 spent 16 weeks on the ranking and soared as high as No. 23.<\/p>\n Blackpink Has Yet to Hit the Top 10<\/p>\n While two of the four singers that make up Blackpink have ruled the Pop Airplay chart, the group itself has yet to find its way into the top 10. “Jump,” which was presented as a single from Blackpink’s latest EP, Deadline \u2013 which dropped in February of this year \u2013 helped the outfit crack the top 20 for the first time when it pushed all the way to No. 19 last September.<\/p>\n “Dracula” Lives on 17 Billboard Charts This Week<\/p>\n At the moment, “Dracula” lives on 17 Billboard charts. It’s able to appear on such a large number of rankings due to the fact that the company classifies it as pop, rock and dance when it comes to genre, and it also makes a home on several non-style-specific rundowns. “Dracula” is present at No. 1 on seven of those rosters.<\/p>\n
