Indiana signed Australian forward Chloe Bibby on Friday morning<\/a> to a seven-day contract. Bibby, 27, played in five games across two stints with the Golden State Valkyries<\/a> during this 2025 WNBA season.<\/p>\n Advertisement<\/p>\n During the preseason Bibby appeared in two games, averaging 5.0 points and 1.5 rebounds per game. After re-signing with the Valkyries on June 15, Bibby played five games with the team before being waived on June 30. During her second stint with the team, Bibby averaged 6.4 points and 2.8 rebounds per game.<\/p>\n Bibby’s best performance came against the Indiana Fever<\/a> on June 19 when she scored 12 points on 4-of-9 shooting. The 6-foot-2 forward knocked down a pair of 3-pointers in that 88-77 win over Indiana. Bibby also grabbed three rebounds, assisted once and came away with a steal in the Valkyries’ win.<\/p>\n \u201cSpacing the floor, that\u2019s part of our philosophy, right? \u201d Valkyries coach Natalie Nakase\u00a0told reporters after that June 19 game<\/a>. \u201cSo, she fits in really well with the fact that she\u2019s a big that can space the floor. But then, you know, on the other end, she\u2019s really physical. She can get rebounds. So yeah, Chloe is like a Swiss Army knife.\u201d<\/p>\n Advertisement<\/p>\n Bibby also helped her national team, the Australia Opals, to a gold medal in the 2025 FIBA Women\u2019s Asia World Cup earlier this month. Two years prior, Bibby also guided the Opals to a bronze medal in the 2022 FIBA World Cup in Sydney.<\/p>\n Bibby also has extensive overseas experience, including being named the Polish League MVP while with the AZS AJP Gorzow Wielkopolski in the 2023-24 season, and MVP of the Liga Femenina de Baloncesto in Spain with the Spar Girona in the 2024-25 season.<\/p>\n During her collegiate career, Bibby spent three seasons at Mississippi State before playing her final two seasons at Maryland where she averaged 13.2 and 11.9 points per game during the 2020-21 and 2021-22 seasons, respectively.<\/p>\n Bibby was a second-team All-Big Ten selection at Maryland in 2022 and honorable mention All-Big Ten in 2021.<\/p>\n Advertisement<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m just competitive,\u201d Bibby\u00a0told Matthew Walter of TheNextHoops.com<\/a>. \u201cI think over the years, with having that and growing that confidence in my shot to where if I get it and I\u2019m open, and I know that\u2019s the right shot, I\u2019m gonna shoot it, and I feel confident with that\u2026 I\u2019d love to have a stint in the W, I\u2019d like to be here full time. In the WNBA, seven-day contracts may be signed in the season’s second half.
