Two people are dead following a fiery crash on Jacksonville\u2019s northbound Interstate 295 late Thursday night.<\/p>\n

The crash happened at 10:35 p.m. near mile marker 37, according to Florida Highway Patrol. A black Jeep left the road and struck a tree before bursting into flames.<\/p>\n

The driver, a 42-year-old woman and a passenger, a 3-year-old boy were pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n

It remains unclear what caused the Jeep to veer off the road.<\/p>\n
