{"id":92555,"date":"2025-07-25T22:59:11","date_gmt":"2025-07-25T22:59:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/92555\/"},"modified":"2025-07-25T22:59:11","modified_gmt":"2025-07-25T22:59:11","slug":"south-phoenix-crash-kills-1-man-who-was-in-a-wheelchair","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/92555\/","title":{"rendered":"South Phoenix crash kills 1 man who was in a wheelchair"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>PHOENIX \u2014 A man has died after being hit by a car in south Phoenix, the city\u2019s police department said.<\/p>\n<p>The collision happened on Thursday night at about 8:43 p.m. on <a href=\"https:\/\/maps.app.goo.gl\/UgDTy1SbaJVJNv4w5\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Seventh Avenue, just south of the Salt River bridge<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>When officers got to the scene, they found a man who had been seriously hurt. He was taken to a nearby hospital and later died.<\/p>\n<p>The man has not been identified.<\/p>\n<p>Police release details of deadly crash in south Phoenix<\/p>\n<p>Phoenix police added that their preliminary investigation shows that the man was in a motorized wheelchair and was in the road when he was hit by a car that was headed north on Seventh Avenue.<\/p>\n<p>The driver who hit the man stayed at the scene of the crash and impairment is not believed to be a factor in the crash.<\/p>\n<p>Police said the accident needs to be reconstructed before they decide whether or not the driver will face charges.<\/p>\n<p>No other details were released.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"twitter-follow-button\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/J_Vinton52\" data-show-count=\"false\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Follow @J_Vinton52<\/a><\/p>\n<p>We want to hear from you.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 0px;\">Have a story idea or tip?
