PGA Tour superstar Scottie Scheffler is not just an unbelievable golfer, he’s a very decent actor too!\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hundreds of golf fans have rushed on to social media to express their admiration for Scheffler<\/a>‘s acting skills following today’s release of Happy Gilmore 2 on Netflix.<\/p>\n

The movie is the sequel to the popular Happy Gilmore<\/a> film of 1996<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Without giving too much away, Scheffler, who won his fourth career major title at The Open at Royal Portrush last week, has a number of funny one-liners in Happy Gilmore 2.\u00a0<\/p>\n

He also gets arrested, again!\u00a0<\/p>\n

For those none the wiser, Scheffler (actually in real life) got arrested ahead of his second round tee time at the 2024 US PGA at Valhalla.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Scheffler tried to drive into the golf club during heavy traffic following a fatality in the area.<\/p>\n

He was charged with second-degree assault of a police officer, third-degree criminal mischief, reckless driving and disregarding traffic signals from an officer.<\/p>\n

Scheffler’s mugshot in an orange jumpsuit then immediately went viral.<\/p>\n

But he was soon let free in order to still compete in the PGA.<\/p>\n

He went on to finish an incredible tied eighth given the circumstances.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“First of all I was freaking out because I had somehow gone from driving into the golf course to a jail cell and I still don’t know how that happened exactly,” said Scheffler when later reacting to the incident on Netflix’s Full Swing. “It never felt real.”\u00a0<\/p>\n

As we say, we won’t spoil much more for you if you’ve yet to watch Happy Gilmore 2, but Scheffler’s appearance in jail is comedy gold.<\/p>\n

Some consider Scheffler deserves an Oscar for his cameo performance.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“Give Scottie an Oscar already, absolutely class from the World No.1 in Happy Gilmore 2,” wrote one.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Other fans have also been pleased to see Scheffler’s personality shine through.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“I don\u2019t want to hear anyone saying anything about Scottie Scheffler lacking a personality ever again, just watch Happy Gilmore 2; he steals the whole freaking movie!” commented one fan.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Golf fans are loving Scottie’s cameo<\/p>\n
