Facebook\/Jamey Carney<\/p>\n<p>Alsaqer, who was in the process of seeking asylum in Ireland, had <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/07\/10\/us-news\/ny-mom-jamey-carneys-alleged-killer-got-passport-back-from-irish-authorities\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">gotten his passport returned <\/a>to him by authorities before the murder, and used the travel document to escape to Turkey.<\/p>\n<p>The couple had sparked a relationship in the last few months after <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/07\/09\/world-news\/migrant-sought-for-beating-death-of-ny-mom-jamey-carney-in-ireland-met-her-at-anti-israel-protest-report\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">meeting at a local anti-Israeli protest.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Because Alsaqer had frequented Carney\u2019s house before her murder, investigators may have\u00a0a hard time\u00a0charging him with murder because his DNA from previous visits would be found around the house, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/crime-law\/2026\/07\/09\/main-suspect-in-killarney-murder-inquiry-believed-to-have-fled-ireland\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">according to the Irish Times<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Carney died of suffocation after neighbors reported hearing an argument coming from the rented home.
