JACKSONVILLE, Fla. \u2014 The recent deadly crash on Zoo Parkway is causing some Jacksonville residents to sound the alarm.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s just non-stop,\u201d said Christopher Calderon, who works on Zoo Parkway and has been driving on it for 10 years. \u201cIf nothing gets done, people are going to get hurt and killed.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Jacksonville Sheriff\u2019s Office Transparency Portal Crash map data sheet shows that since the start of the year, there have been at least 35 crashes the sheriff\u2019s office has responded to on Zoo Parkway from Eastport Road to US 17. <\/p>\n
>>> STREAM ACTION NEWS JAX LIVE <<<<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n The deadly crash this week was not included in the statistics because the Florida Highway Patrol handled the investigation. <\/p>\n But, two of the crashes along Zoo Parkway involved school buses carrying Duval County Public Schools\u2019 students.<\/p>\n \u201cAfter that bus situation recently, it just hasn\u2019t gotten any better. It has actually gotten worse,\u201d said Calderon.<\/p>\n Calderon says he\u2019s frustrated with the lack of traffic enforcement on the road.<\/p>\n \u201cThere\u2019s going to be more of these issues because there\u2019s nobody trying to stop it and nobody slowing down.
