{"id":928509,"date":"2026-07-11T20:05:17","date_gmt":"2026-07-11T20:05:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/928509\/"},"modified":"2026-07-11T20:05:17","modified_gmt":"2026-07-11T20:05:17","slug":"phoenix-police-assistant-hit-by-alleged-impaired-driver-in-maryvale","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/928509\/","title":{"rendered":"Phoenix police assistant hit by alleged impaired driver in Maryvale"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"text | article-text text-start\"><b>PHOENIX (AZFamily)<\/b> \u2014 A Phoenix police assistant is recovering after an alleged impaired driver struck a city vehicle in the Maryvale neighborhood late Friday night.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">A spokesperson said the police assistant was helping direct traffic due to a earlier crash near <a href=\"https:\/\/maps.app.goo.gl\/cNGafuVtBBPE4UVc7\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">67th Avenue and McDowell Road <\/a>around 10:30 p.m. The assistant was sitting inside of a City of Phoenix vehicle with its emergency lights on when another driver crashed into them.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Investigators say the driver showed signs of impairment and was taken into custody.
