Chicago police arrested the suspect in a shooting that left one person injured in Wisconsin Dells, authorities in the Wisconsin community said.<\/p>\n
Oscar Perez, 34, of the Wisconsin Dells area, was taken into custody at approximately 10 p.m. Thursday on a charge of first-degree homicide by the Chicago Police Department, Wisconsin Dells police said in a Facebook post. It wasn’t immediately clear where Perez was apprehended in Chicago. <\/p>\n
The 34-year-old was wanted in connection with a shooting the day prior in the area of USH 12\/16 and Fitzgerald Road in Wisconsin Dells. A man sustained a gunshot wound and was taken to an area hospital for treatment, Wisconsin Dells, authorities said. <\/p>\n
An investigation led officers from the initial response area to the 600 block of Commercial Avenue, where evidence revealed a shooting had taken place outside a home.<\/p>\n
The shooting was believed to be a targeted and isolated incident.<\/p>\n
