Syracuse, N.Y. \u2014 Fairgoers looking to save on rides at the New York State Fair can score discounted Midway tickets during an early-morning flash sale next week.<\/p>\n
The one-day sale for \u201cRide All Day\u201d wristbands will start at 4 a.m. Monday. The sale runs until midnight Monday, the State Fair said.<\/p>\n
Wade Shows, the nation\u2019s second-largest carnival operator, will bring more than 50 rides to this year\u2019s Fair, including thrill rides like the new Zeus ride, Zero Gravity and Mega Drop, as well as classic children\u2019s rides like the Teacups.<\/p>\n
Wristbands purchased during the flash sale cost $24 plus fees, which is a savings of around $23. The wristbands allow unlimited rides on any single day during the fair\u2019s 13-day run.<\/p>\n
\u201cWade Shows is proud to bring a variety of exciting rides and attractions to the Fair this year, and we look forward to creating unforgettable memories for families and thrill-seekers alike,\u201d said Fair Director Julie LaFave in a statement. <\/p>\n
Frank Zaitshik, owner of Wade Shows, said this year\u2019s Midway will feature more rides than ever.<\/p>\n
After the sale, advance wristbands will still be available online for $28 plus fees through Aug. 19. After that, wristbands will cost $37 on weekdays and $47 on weekends at the fair.<\/p>\n
A \u201cMega Pass\u201d option is also available for $97 plus fees. The Mega Pass allows unlimited rides every day of the fair and must be purchased in advance online by Aug. 19. Mega Passes can be picked up at the Wade Shows trailer near Gate 4 starting Aug. 16.<\/p>\n
Here\u2019s a breakdown of total costs with fees:<\/p>\n
Single day \u201cWacky Wednesday\u201d wristbands will be available for $30 on opening day, Aug. 20, and Wednesday, Aug. 27, for extra savings.<\/p>\n
Individual ride tickets will be sold at the Midway for:<\/p>\n
The Midway will be open daily from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., except Labor Day, Sept. 1, when it closes at 9 p.m. Hours may change due to weather. Updates will be posted on the fair\u2019s social media.<\/p>\n
The fair runs Aug. 20 through Labor Day. Admission is $8, with free entry for seniors 65 and older and kids 12 and under. <\/p>\n
Frequent fairgoer passes are available for $25.<\/p>\n
