Anthony Anderson has responded to social media backlash over a resurfaced interview he did with Lindsay Lohan in 2003 that many viewers have found deeply uncomfortable. The viral clip is from when Anderson guest hosted \u201cThe Sharon Osbourne Show\u201d nearly 22 years ago. He was 33 years old at the time and Lohan was 17. Anderson was talking to Lohan about how she recently moved in with fellow Disney star and friend Raven-Symon\u00e9.<\/p>\n
\u201cBoth of you are beautiful women. Both of you are young and have your individual styles,\u201d Anderson tells Lohan before asking: \u201cWhat gentlemen will be at the new pad with you and Raven-Symon\u00e9?\u201d<\/p>\n

I don\u2019t have a boyfriend,\u201d Lohan replies, prompting Anderson to explain to the audience: \u201cShe\u2019s single, but looking!\u201d<\/p>\n Lohan clarifies, \u201cI\u2019m illegal for people that are old,\u201d and Anderson says, \u201cSome men like them young. We ain\u2019t gonna mention no names, but I\u2019m one of them.\u201d<\/p>\n At a different point in the interview, Anderson throws to commercial break by touting Lohan\u2019s movie \u201cFreaky Friday\u201d and says, \u201cRight now, we\u2019re about to get our freak on.\u201d He moves closer towards Lohan and puts his arms around her while she covers her mouth with her hand.<\/p>\n \u201cThis interview was clearly intended as comedy,\u201d a spokesperson told Entertainment Weekly<\/a> on behalf of Anderson. \u201cHe regrets if the humor was in poor taste and maintains the utmost respect for Lindsay. Any implication to the contrary is both inaccurate and potentially defamatory.\u201d<\/p>\n Variety has reached out to Anderson\u2019s representatives for additional comment.<\/p>\n The interview is possibly resurfacing now that Lohan has embarked on her press tour for the long-awaited \u201cFreaky Friday\u201d sequel, \u201cFreakier Friday,\u201d which is opening in theaters Aug. 8 from Disney.
