New sidewalks are coming to Pinson Street, from Village Creek Road to Carverly Avenue, in southeast Fort Worth\u2019s City Council District 5<\/a>.<\/p>\n The $2.6 million Pinson Street Sidewalk Improvements Project<\/a> \u2014 funded through the city\u2019s 2022 bond program<\/a> approved by voters \u2014 was designed to improve safety, accessibility and mobility along the approximately 5,500 feet of Pinson serving Stop Six\u2019s Sunrise and Parkside neighborhoods.<\/p>\n The project includes replacing noncompliant sidewalks and curb ramps, constructing ADA-compliant pedestrian ramps, reconstructing driveways where necessary, installing pedestrian signage and pavement markings, and making utility adjustments.<\/p>\n The city will take additional measures to minimize impact on adjacent properties, including tree preservation and the use of retaining curbs.<\/p>\n The city\u2019s Transportation and Public Works Department held a community meeting June 16 to discuss the project.<\/p>\n Representatives explained construction phasing, traffic management plans and resident notification.<\/p>\n Traffic flow and property access will be maintained throughout construction, with work expected to begin in July and continue for approximately 180 days, members of the project team told attendees.<\/p>\n Pinson Street Sidewalk Preconstruction Meeting<\/p>\n Documenter<\/strong>: Tekisha Hobbs<\/p>\n Date<\/strong>: June 16, 2026<\/p>\n Learn more about this project by clicking here<\/a>.
