LAS VEGAS \u2013 <\/strong>Arthur Kaluma\u2019s prolific scoring and a dominant second-half team defense fueled the Los Angeles Lakers to a 91-70 win over the Dallas Mavericks Saturday night in Summer League action.<\/p>\n Kaluma, an undrafted forward out of Texas, led all scorers with 34 points on 11-for-16 shooting, including a 6-for-10 tally from behind the arc.<\/p>\n The Lakers held a slim 47-44 halftime lead, but Los Angeles would separate in the second half largely due to a suffocating defensive effort.<\/p>\n The Mavericks could only muster 13 points apiece in the third and fourth quarters, while the Lakers piled on another 44 to win going away.<\/p>\n LA outpaced Dallas significantly in multiple categories, including via a 42-24 edge in paint scoring.<\/p>\n Adou Thiero provided 15 points and four rebounds in the winning effort. Peter Suder led Lakers reserves with 14 points. Chris Ma\u00f1on added 10 points and eight rebounds. Rookie first-round pick Cameron Carr didn\u2019t play due to a thumb injury.<\/p>\n Ryan Nembhard set the pace for the Mavericks with 12 points and five assists.<\/p>\n Rookie ninth overall pick Morez Johnson totaled 10 points, five rebounds, four blocks and two steals.<\/p>\n Rookie second-round selection Tobi Lawal finished with eight points and five boards.
