The Cathedral of St. Peter was the setting Saturday for the wedding of Kelsey Jane Brown and James Kevin Kelly, both of Philadelphia. The bride is the daughter of Dr. William Brown and Mrs. Nancy Brown, Waverly Twp. The bridegroom is the son of Dr. Kevin J. Kelly and Mrs. Patricia A. Kelly (deceased), Drexel Hill.<\/p>\n
Deacon Kevin J. Kelly officiated at the 1:30 p.m. ceremony.<\/p>\n
Ellen Sullivan, Cherry Hill, N.J., sister of the bride, was matron of honor; and Abby Brown, Philadelphia, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Amelia Stasko, Philadelphia; Elizabeth Cunningham, Philadelphia, cousin of the bride; Sarah Notaro, Blue Bell, Pa., cousin of the bride; Grace Lynch, Boston, Mass., cousin of the bride; and Katie Kettel, Clarks Summit, cousin of the bride.<\/p>\n
Andrew Halt, Cincinnati, Ohio, was best man. Ushers were Tim Jefferson, Pasadena, Md.; Justin Russell, Philadelphia; Matt Grasso, Dix Hill, N.Y.; William Brown, Waverly Twp., brother of the bride; and Kevin Sullivan, Cherry Hill, N.J., brother-in-law of the bride.<\/p>\n
A reception was held at the Country Club of Scranton.<\/p>\n
The bride is a graduate of Abington Heights High School, Temple University with a B.S. in early childhood education and the University of Pennsylvania with a M.Ed. in urban education. She is an elementary school teacher in the School District of Philadelphia.<\/p>\n
The bridegroom is a graduate of St. Joseph\u2019s Preparatory School, Loyola University, Maryland, with a B.A. in political science and history, and Villanova University School of Law with a J.D. He is deputy city solicitor at the City of Philadelphia Law Department.<\/p>\n
The couple met on a dating app.<\/p>\n
