Hayden Panettiere bailed on her Creep I.E. Con appearance at the last minute. <\/p>\n
The convention \u2014 which is taking place July 11 and July 12 \u2014 announced the news via Instagram<\/a> on Friday, informing potential guests that the \u201cScream\u201d star, 36, is still welcome to appear at another show in the future. <\/p>\n \u201cHayden Panettiere has an emergency and will not be able to attend this weekend. Janet Mayer \/ Shutterstock<\/p>\n In her place, \u201cLolita\u201d star Dominique Swain was announced as a new guest who will appear on Saturday and Sunday. <\/p>\n A rep for Panettiere told Page Six that Hayden canceled her appearance \u201cdue to a private family matter concerning the health of an elderly relative.\u201d<\/p>\n Panettiere was originally slated to appear alongside her \u201cScream 4\u201d co-star Nico Tortorella as a sort of reunion for the stars. <\/p>\n The actress was quickly replaced by \u201cLolita\u201d star Dominique Swain.
