Dabo Swinney and Kirby Smart (No. 6 in the rankings) draw their share of national contempt simply by dominating — and, in Swinney’s case, by lecturing the sport about how he does it. However, he’s also known as one of the most genuine people in the sport, and almost anyone who has spent some time around him can attest to that fact.

Swinney, who is the all-time winningest head coach at Clemson, is one of just two active head coaches to win two or more national titles, with Smart being the other one.
