Our average high this time of year is around 107 degrees, and it looks like temperatures will start to drop closer to that next week. <\/p>\n
A First Alert has been issued for Sunday. You will notice the increase in moisture, and that moisture will bring instability and an increasing chance of storms. The best chance of storms will be in the afternoon and early evening, so we have issued a First Alert for Sunday. <\/p>\n
The great news is that the chance of rain and storms is in the forecast throughout the week next week. We could really use the rainfall, so far this year we have just .32\u2033 of rain, well below average. <\/p>\n
Another bit of great news is a drop in temperatures; we will go from 109 today to a ten-degree drop by next Friday. The high on Friday will be 99 degrees, which is 8 degrees below average. <\/p>\n
Headed into the weekend, temperatures look to be below normal as well. So far this season, we have had only 10 days with temperatures above 110 degrees. Last year at this time, we had 15 days above 110. <\/p>\n
