Authorities are investigating after two decomposing bodies were discovered inside a Bronx<\/a> apartment late Sunday night.\n<\/p>\n

The gruesome discovery came at about 11:35 p.m. on July 12 after officers from the 47th Precinct were called to 4065 Carpenter Ave. in Wakefield. The cops came after receiving a report of a foul odor coming from an apartment.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Upon arrival, officers discovered two unknown people heavily decomposed. Police were not immediately able to report their ages or gender and they remain unidentified.\n<\/p>\n

Sources familiar with the investigation report that detectives are not probing the deaths as suspicious at this time. Drug paraphernalia was found nearby.\n<\/p>\n

The bodies were transferred to the Chief Medical Examiner\u2019s office for autopsies to officially determine the causes of death.
