found shot to death inside their home<\/a> on June 2, according to the Macon County Sheriff’s Department.\u00a0<\/p>\nIn an update Monday, the department said detectives working to get information on cell phones and computers are, “examining a large amount of information from multiple devices.”<\/p>\n
The Illinois State Police Crime Lab is also examining evidence.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Shortly after the Frames were found dead police said there was no threat to the public. However, they haven’t said what brought them to that conclusion.\u00a0<\/p>\n
There have been no arrests in the case. An autopsy report said the Frames were shot, but the manner of death is unknown.<\/p>\n
“Our office is dedicated to determine exactly what happened inside their home that ultimately led to their deaths,” a statement from the sheriff’s office to WAND News said on Monday.\u00a0<\/p>\n
“Unfortunately, in cases such as this where there is no known witness detectives must examine a large amount of evidence and interview multiple people to find out what happened and to make sure nothing was overlooked.”<\/p>\n
Police said previously they were called to the couple’s home for a welfare check. Police haven’t said who called police to make the check or why one was requested.\u00a0<\/p>\n
