{"id":934980,"date":"2026-07-14T19:55:19","date_gmt":"2026-07-14T19:55:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/934980\/"},"modified":"2026-07-14T19:55:19","modified_gmt":"2026-07-14T19:55:19","slug":"fort-worths-leon-bridges-announces-new-album-happiness-anytime","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/934980\/","title":{"rendered":"Fort Worth\u2019s Leon Bridges announces new album \u2018Happiness Anytime\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"&quot;byline&quot;\">by David Moreno, Fort Worth Report <br \/>July 14, 2026<\/p>\n<p>When Fort Worth\u2019s own Leon Bridges dropped his fourth studio album \u201cLeon\u201d in 2024, he introduced the world to his hometown through lyrics centered around his upbringing.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>On his upcoming record, the Grammy Award-winning artist is taking Cowtown on a musical journey to South America.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Bridges announced Tuesday his fifth studio album \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/leonbridgesshop.com\/collections\/happiness-anytime\/products\/leon050035-happiness-anytime-signed-12-vinyl-fanta-orange-leon-exclusive\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Happiness Anytime<\/a>,\u201d which draws inspiration from Brazilian music, South American rhythms, Afrobeat, soul and disco.<\/p>\n<p>The album\u2019s title serves as both a mission statement and invitation, according to his website.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s music you can put on no matter how you\u2019re feeling and be immediately transported somewhere coastal and warm,\u201d the album description reads. \u201cIn crafting the album, Leon Bridges focused on feeling, storytelling, and his vocal performance.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The 12-track record, produced by J Lloyd and Lydia Kitto from the British band Jungle, is set to be released Sept. 25.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\nhttps:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/Daxrb8APIA1\/\n<\/p>\n<p>Bridges reached international stardom in 2015 with the release of his debut album \u201cComing Home,\u201d which he <a href=\"https:\/\/fortworthreport.org\/2026\/06\/25\/inside-the-fort-worth-studio-where-leon-bridges-texas-musicians-record-their-hits\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">recorded in the Near Southside studio Niles City Sound<\/a>. That record earned him his first Grammy nomination for Best R&amp;B album.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLeon,\u201d his most recent album, featured primarily country and folk sounds. He gave listeners a glimpse into his summers in Fort Worth\u2019s southside and adventures on the Trinity River on tracks like \u201cPanther City\u201d and \u201cSimplify.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Fort Worth leaders honored that album\u2019s release by formally declaring Nov. 15 as <a href=\"https:\/\/fortworthreport.org\/2024\/11\/15\/fort-worth-makes-leon-bridges-day-official-during-grammy-winners-dickies-arena-debut\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Leon Bridges Day<\/a> in the city during his sold-out Dickies Arena debut in 2024.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The following year, the city installed <a href=\"https:\/\/fortworthreport.org\/2025\/10\/07\/leon-bridges-musical-legacy-enshrined-on-the-south-side-in-panther-city\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">street sign toppers in his name<\/a> at the corner of Calhoun Street and Daggett Avenue outside Niles City Sound.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>David Moreno is the arts and culture reporter for the Fort Worth Report.
