That setup has kept showers and thunderstorms moving through the area, with some neighborhoods receiving multiple inches of rain. Because the ground is already saturated in spots, any additional downpours Wednesday could quickly lead to ponding on roads and localized street flooding.

Wednesday’s Forecast:

Houston gets another chance for showers and thunderstorms Wednesday, but rain should be less widespread and persistent than it was Tuesday. Rain chances are around 60%, with most storms developing during the afternoon.

Wednesday Flood Risk

However, the atmosphere will remain loaded with moisture, meaning any stronger storm could produce a quick heavy downpour and localized street flooding. Mostly cloudy skies will keep temperatures relatively comfortable, with highs only reaching the mid- to upper 80s.

Wednesday will also see downpours (Copyright 2025 by KPRC Click2Houston – All rights reserved.)10 Day Forecast:

Rain chances become much more isolated Thursday as high pressure begins building over Southeast Texas. Most of Houston should be dry by Friday, followed by mostly sunny conditions through the weekend and early next week. The return of sunshine will also bring a rapid warmup: highs climb into the low to mid-90s Friday and Saturday, then reach the mid- to upper 90s Sunday through much of next week. Heat index values will likely return to the triple digits, while meaningful rain chances remain very low.

And because of the rain, the humidity will be incredibly high this weekend. Hope you can find a pool or a place to stay cool because the heat index is going to be high!

10 Day ForecastAnthony’s Weather Lab

More Stories Like This In Our Email Newsletter

Copyright 2026 by KPRC Click2Houston – All rights reserved.

[5130
1599,4345,337267,5471,6773,358,24007,3187
post-936383","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-houston","tag-forecast","tag-houston","tag-houston-storms","tag-houston-weather","tag-rain","tag-texas","tag-tropics","tag-tx
["GET
