Weather records <\/strong>(from the National Weather Service, Chicago<\/a>)<\/p>\n 1964:<\/strong> Jimmy Hoffa<\/a>, president of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, was found guilty<\/a> in Chicago on three of 20 counts of fraud related to the Teamsters\u2019 Central States Pension Fund and one count of conspiracy. He was convicted<\/a> of jury tampering earlier that year.<\/p>\n 1985: <\/strong>Old St. Patrick\u2019s Church held its first\u00a0\u201cWorld\u2019s Largest Block Party.\u201d<\/a>\u00a0Tickets were $15 and entertainment included Stanley Paul & His Orchestra and the Jesse White Tumblers.<\/p>\n The church\u00a0discontinued<\/a>\u00a0the annual event in 2020.<\/p>\n 2005:<\/strong> After a lengthy rain delay, Chicago Cubs pitcher Greg Maddux<\/a> recorded his 3,000th career strikeout.
