{"id":937245,"date":"2026-07-15T20:07:13","date_gmt":"2026-07-15T20:07:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/937245\/"},"modified":"2026-07-15T20:07:13","modified_gmt":"2026-07-15T20:07:13","slug":"two-found-dead-near-overturned-kayak-in-east-fort-worth","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/937245\/","title":{"rendered":"Two found dead near overturned kayak in east Fort Worth"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Two people were found <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/news\/public-safety\/article\/body-of-man-recovered-monday-at-benbrook-lake-22326071.php\" data-link=\"native\" class=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">dead<\/a> Wednesday near an overturned kayak in a private pond in east <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/topic\/fort-worth\/\" data-link=\"native\" class=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Fort Worth<\/a>, according to the Fort Worth Fire Department.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/news\/public-safety\/\" data-link=\"native\" class=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Firefighters<\/a> and medical personnel were dispatched about 11:20 a.m. to a water emergency in the 3100 block of Cooks Lane, just north of U.S. Highway 180 between Fort Worth and Arlington.<\/p>\n<p>Crews found the overturned kayak and two people in the pond, fire officials said. Medical personnel attempted lifesaving measures, but both were pronounced dead at the scene, according to authorities.<\/p>\n<p>The victims were approximately 60 and 20 years old.
