Celebrity bodyguard Mason Haynes has died.<\/p>\n
Haynes died in a motorcycle accident on July 4, according to a GoFundMe<\/a> organized for his family. He was 52.<\/p>\n “Two days before what would have been his 53rd birthday, Mason’s life was taken far too soon in a tragic road traffic accident,” read the fundraising page. “He leaves behind his devoted wife Fay, his daughter Brooke, his son Noah, a loving family, and an extraordinary circle of friends spread across the world.”<\/p>\n Haynes was described as a “protector,” “mentor” and “a giant in every sense of the word, with an even bigger heart,” per the GoFundMe.<\/p>\n Mason Haynes with Kim Kardashian and Kanye West The fundraiser was created to help Haynes’ wife and two children and ensure he “gets the send-off he truly deserves – a celebration of a life that touched so many people.” The funds will also “help ease some of the immediate financial pressures that inevitably follows such a sudden and devastating loss.”<\/p>\n His employer, Trojan Security UK, paid tribute<\/a> to him in a July 6 Instagram post, sharing a photo of Haynes working with Kris Jenner<\/a>.<\/p>\n “We would like to pay homage to an absolute legend in the Close Protection game. Big Mason. Gone too soon,” the company wrote. “Rest easy and fly high Brother \ud83d\udd4a\ufe0f.”<\/p>\n In 2018, Haynes spoke with London Now<\/a> about his career and revealed that, along with the Kardashian family, he had worked as a bodyguard for Kevin Hart<\/a>, Charlie Puth<\/a>, Lewis Hamilton<\/a> and Nicki Minaj<\/a>.<\/p>\n After deciding to go back to school in his 20s, Haynes said he “needed a part-time job to support my education,” which is how he got involved in security.<\/p>\n “I then found a full-time job in Scorpion Security, who were the security company hired by Caf\u00e9 De Paris in London, among others.
