Gold Derby is serving up Big Brother 28 spoilers all summer long. Read at your own risk!<\/p>\n

Hours after Ashley Trail was evicted in the summer’s first live episode<\/a>, the eligible players (not counting outgoing HOH Dee Valladares) took part in a Wild West-themed Head of Household competition. As always, the challenge winner will have the power to change the game by nominating three people for eviction.<\/p>\n

Drumroll, please. The Week 2 HOH is … Rick Devens. Yeehaw!<\/p>\n

Rick Devens in ‘Big Brother 28’CBS<\/p>\n

The Survivor legend will have less than a day to make his decision \u2014 after conferring with his various alliance members, of course. The nominations ceremony typically takes place on Friday, though TV audiences don’t see it until Sunday.<\/p>\n

The live feeds shut down midday on Thursday so the producers could prepare for the live show. They turned back on at 9:45 p.m. PT, at which point Devens was shown wearing the HOH key around his neck. All of the contestants were dressed in cowboy outfits right out of the Wild West (thanks to the time machine). Devens had no interest in celebrating his victory at the saloon, as he claimed he was tired and just wanted to go to bed.<\/p>\n

Devens is in two powerful alliances and has enough allies to ensure that anyone he wants to go home will do so during his reign. He’s in the Red Corner with Dee, Chuk Anyanwu, Kamu Kirk, and Haley Thogmartin, and in the Crossovers with Dee, Angela Murray, Drew Campbell, and Barrett Pfeiffer.<\/p>\n

Ashley Trail and Julie Chen Moonves, ‘Big Brother 28’Matthew Taplinger\/CBS<\/p>\n

After Ashley’s unanimous 14-to-0 eviction over Taylor Brown, she exited the house and had a one-on-one interview with host Julie Chen Moonves. Ashley explained that while she liked everyone in the game, they were “non-committal” to her when it came to working together. She did trust that there were people working on her behalf and wasn’t sure why they switched to evict her instead.<\/p>\n

Julie then informed the remaining players about the Time Capsule twist, and how America will be voting each week to send one person to a secret location. Based on how the contestant performs in a solo challenge, they will receive either a power or a punishment from a past season. Cast your vote right here<\/a>.<\/p>\n
