Credit: Courtesy Image \/ James Cobb<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Featuring new work by polymath James Cobb, Things Into Thoughts \u2014\u00a0on display at The Contemporary at Blue Star through early October \u2014\u00a0explores systems, form and color with the syncopation of a jazz solo. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This suite of new work is one of four exhibitions by San Antonio-based artists that opened at the Contemporary on First Friday. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Packed with the frenetic energy and bizarrely totemic imagery audiences have come to expect from Cobb \u2014 an artist featured in the first-ever exhibition at Blue Star back in 1986 \u2014 these large-scale paintings and digital works delight through precision and whimsy in equal
