The Dallas Mavericks<\/a> fans witnessed that a plethora of times during his six and a half year stint with the franchise.<\/p>\n

While Luka Doncic\u2019s<\/a> scoring outbursts are rather spread out during the regular season, one may wonder how much Luka scores during practice sessions.<\/p>\n

Well, Mavericks star Kyrie Irving<\/a> recently shed light on it by narrating a story about one of Doncic\u2019s scoring streaks.<\/p>\n

Irving recently did a live stream on Twitch. One clip of the stream went viral on X, where Irving talked about witnessing a phenomenal scoring run from his former teammate.<\/p>\n

\u201cI witnessed him give somebody 24 points in three minutes,\u201d Irving stated.<\/p>\n

After listening to Kai\u2019s revelation, the Mavs Nation could think of just one player \u2013 Grant Williams<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was definitely Grant Williams,\u201d a fan wrote. While another added: \u201cLuka is that guy.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was Grant wasn\u2019t it?\u201d a third Mavs fan added.<\/p>\n

\u201cI know Grant Williams was talking in practice I know it was him for sure lmao,\u201d a fourth fan stated.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy gawd what did Grant say to Luka,\u201d a fan asked.<\/p>\n

Every fan below the tweet on X thought of former Mavericks forward Williams. But what was the reason behind it?<\/p>\n

Grant Williams allegedly tried to trash talk Luka Doncic, only to get scored on<\/p>\n

Williams was on the Mavs for 47 games during the 2023-24 NBA season. However, during his short stint, Williams apparently developed a beef with Doncic and the Mavs<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Mavericks\u2019 assistant GM and vice president of basketball operations, Michael Finley, narrated the story during an appearance on 105.3 The Fan.<\/p>\n

\u201c[Grant Williams] decided he wanted to get under Luka\u2019s skin. He felt that Luka didn\u2019t come that day ready to practice. <\/p>\n

So to make a long story short, they had a scrimmage going and he\u2019s talking trash to Luka up and down the court. Finally, Luka says \u2018OK\u2019 and I tell you, Luka went on a 26-6 run by himself,\u201d Finley said. <\/p>\n

He added: \u201cYou can ask anybody, I\u2019m not exaggerating. It was like a 26-6 run by himself. He showed everything. The 3\u2019s, the post-up, the floaters, everything by himself.\u201d<\/p>\n

Williams poked the bear and paid the price for it.
