{"id":942486,"date":"2026-07-18T03:28:16","date_gmt":"2026-07-18T03:28:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/942486\/"},"modified":"2026-07-18T03:28:16","modified_gmt":"2026-07-18T03:28:16","slug":"several-injured-in-wrong-way-crash-partially-closing-i-10-at-ahwatukee-chandler-border","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/942486\/","title":{"rendered":"Several injured in wrong-way crash partially closing I-10 at Ahwatukee-Chandler border"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"text | article-text text-start\"><b>PHOENIX (AZFamily)<\/b> \u2014 A wrong-way crash closed part of a freeway in the southeast Valley Friday evening, leaving multiple people hurt and one person in critical condition.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Troopers responded to a report of a crash on the eastbound Interstate 10 near Warner Road around 6:30 p.m.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS) said it received calls about a driver going westbound in the eastbound lanes just prior to the crash.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">When troopers arrived, several vehicles were involved in the crash.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">DPS said there are multiple injuries, including one person in critical condition, and the wrong-way driver is suspected of being impaired.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"figure-img img-fluid mx-auto d-block\" alt=\"Troopers and firefighters respond to a crash on eastbound Interstate 10 near Warner Road.\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/VGPHC5RDQBDF3NDGIANK3YWQZE.png\" width=\"980\" height=\"548\" \/>Troopers and firefighters respond to a crash on eastbound Interstate 10 near Warner Road.(ADOT)<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">DPS has closed all eastbound lanes as the crash is being investigated. All traffic must exit the freeway at or before Warner Road.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text text-start\">There is no estimated time for the freeway to reopen.
