A New Jersey diner is going against the grain by opening its doors 24\/7.<\/p>\n
The Falcon Diner<\/a> in Brooklawn is now operating around the clock after announcing<\/a> the decision to do so earlier in July.<\/p>\n The diner, located on the Brooklawn Circle along busy Route 130, made the expansion on July 14. It is now the only 24-hour diner in Camden County and 16th in the Garden State, which once housed dozens<\/a> of all-hours eateries.<\/p>\n READ MORE: <\/b>See all of New Jersey\u2019s surviving 24-hour diners<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n A spokesperson for the diner told NJ Advance Media that the move was in response to customer demand. <\/p>\n The Route 130 eatery was formerly known as the Empire Diner<\/a> before current ownership, which also operates the Swedesboro Diner, took over in 2024. <\/p>\n New Jersey was once home to dozens of 24-hour diners but the eateries have become an endangered species<\/a>, with many citing the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, staffing issues and rising food costs for the decline. <\/p>\n The Americana Diner<\/a> in West Orange was the Garden State\u2019s most recent 24-hour diner to close, in March. <\/b>Other recent diner shutterings included the Roadside Diner<\/a> in Wall Township (2025); Diamond Diner in Hainesport<\/a> and Starview Diner in Somerdale <\/a>(2024); Red Lion Diner<\/a> in Southampton, Empire Diner<\/a> in Parsippany and Cherry Hill Diner in Cherry Hill (2023). <\/p>\n More food coverage:<\/b><\/p>\n Our journalism needs your support.
