The bakery opened a store on July 16, 2026, on West 7th Street in Fort Worth, marking a return to its roots nearly 18 years after Jana Howell founded the business in 2008.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s so exciting,\u201d Dixon said in a statement. \u201cMy aunt Jana started J. Rae\u2019s in Fort Worth, and to now be in a position where we can open a second location right back where it all began is so special.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
The original J. Rae’s, on Foch Street in Fort Worth, was sold in 2013.<\/p>\n
Over the years, Dixon said, customers would drive all the way to Dallas to buy the well-known decorated cookies.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The new store spans 1,700 square feet and retains the brand\u2019s signature design, featuring black-and-white stripes and pink accents.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Cookies remain the shop\u2019s specialty. Offerings include hand-decorated sugar cookies, cupcakes, cheesecakes, cake balls, cookie cakes and classic cookies.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cDecorating is important, but flavor always comes first,” Dixon said. “We want our products to be as delicious as they are beautiful.”\u00a0<\/p>\n
The bakery also accepts custom orders for birthdays, parties, corporate events and any special celebration.\u00a0<\/p>\n
